**The Service**

**Located in Millers Point, close to Wynyard Station, KU Lance Children's Centre is an 'Excellent' rated long day care.**

At KU Lance, we have an ongoing commitment to sustainability and nature education. Regular excursions to Barangaroo Headland Park allow children to explore natural environments and ‘wild places’. The educators utilise natural items in teaching and learning environments, including maintaining a kitchen garden and several pets, to assist children in caring for other living things with whom we share the planet.

**The Role**

We currently have a permanent part time position available for an early childhood educator with a **completed **diploma qualification.

**On offer is a permanent part time position working 3 days per week; 8 hours every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday (24 hours per week).**

**To be considered for this role, it is essential you have**:

- A recognised Diploma level of qualification in Children’s Services or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
- Current NSW Employee Working with Children Check
- Current Child Protection training and knowledge of Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
- A current First Aid certificate and separate Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management training (diploma educators only)
- Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011).
- Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF) as well as the "Circle of Security" theory
