**The Company**
Our client is a global, market leading supplier of genetics to the beef and dairy industry with a well-established business that has serviced Australian Dairy and Beef farmers for decades. As their business continues to grow, the company is seeking to appoint an additional Area Manager to their existing sales team servicing Western Victoria.
**The Position**
The role of Area Manager will primarily provide technical advice and focus on developing, implementing and managing successful relationships with new and existing customers. Key to establishing successful relationships with end user customers will be to understand what their commercial production drivers are and respond with appropriate products and services.
To be successful, ideally you will have;
- A passion for the agricultural sector and a desire to build a successful sales career
- Sales experience - ideally dairy or at least livestock based
- An understanding and/or experience of dairy production systems and farm performance (both production and commercial)
- Strong communication skills that will allow you to build and maintain credibility at end user level and allow you to be comfortable working in a relationship based, customer facing role
- Initiative and an ability to work autonomously but also as part of a team
- Superior organisation and presentation skills.
