**Job Description**:
Day to day you will:

- Cover the news cycle
- Generate story ideas
- Research and write original articles and features
- Upload content to CMS
- Implement SEO best practice for all content
- Use social media tools to post content and drive engagement

Please note this position will require shift and weekend work.

**Qualifications**:
What we would like to see on your resume:

- Experience in digital news or relevant publishing experience in print media, broadcast media or online preferred
- Demonstrated writing skills essential, with proven ability to produce clear compelling copy
- Ability to write concise, timely and accurate news
- Strong understanding of all social media platforms
- A passion for sport
- Excellent knowledge of the English language, grammar and syntax
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to work effectively to tight deadlines
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop an advantage.
