An exciting opportunity has become available for a Trainee Educator to join the team at The Kids Cottage Middle Harbour OSHC.

This traineeship is suitable for a young professional looking to get a head start on their career in Outside School Hours Care Whilst working directly with children, the Trainee Educator role will involve participating in service operations, providing a fun & engaging program to the children of Kids Cottage, and encouraging children to further their development through exploration and play.

This position would suit a person who can work autonomously and as part of a team with mínimal supervision. They will need to be honest and reliable whilst having a positive can-do attitude

About the role:
As a trainee educator, you will:

- Provide nurturing care for children aged 5-12 years old
- Develop strong ties to the Kids Cottage Community including families, children, and fellow team members
- Earn whilst you learn - work towards your career in the OSHC Industry with firsthand experience

Essential requirements of the role:

- Applicants MUST be over 18 years of age
- A current Working with Children Check (NSW)
- Two doses of a COVID-19 Vaccination
- An understanding of your role as a Mandatory Reporter

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Apprenticeship
Part-time hours: 25-38 per week

**Salary**: $21.85 - $29.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- No weekends
- Shift work

COVID-19 considerations:
ECEC staff across the state are required to have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccination by 8 November 2021.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Mosman, NSW 2088: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Working with Children Check (required)
