**The Centre**
The Kids Cottage, Middle Harbour OOSH provides an active, fun and creative program for the Out of School Hours sessions, including vacation care during the school holidays. The centre is filled with collaborative and dedicated educators and a Senior Leadership team to support the children in its care.
**The Role**
We are looking for an experienced, proactive, and efficient Office Manager to take control of and manage all office, accounts functions and staffing management. The position is a fixed term, one-year contract with a minimum of 30 hours per week. An opportunity for permanent role may be possible.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain all administrative systems and records, ensuring they are up to date and accessible as required
- Ensure the centre software system, Xplor is operating smoothly, and all registrations, bookings and enrolments are correctly entered
- Ensure accurate daily attendance rolls and monitor that all staff are following policy and procedures for all absences
- Comply with all Child Care Subsidy System (CCSS) requirements and reporting
- Ensure all banking matters are correct and up to date
- Manage family accounts in coordination with Director and Assistant Director and ensure all overdue accounts are followed up on
- Manage budgets set by the Parent Management Committee for the program and maintain within set expenditure and income
- Assist in budget preparation
- Oversee and manage all procurement for the Cottage within budget allocations
- Assist in the completion of centre and financial accountability details for Parent Management Committee Meetings
- Training and development of new and existing staff
- Management of floor in mornings and afternoons
**Key Requirements**
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Experience in OOSHC or Childcare Services
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer and administration skills
- Experience with business, financial, budget and human resource management capability
- Demonstrated creativity and initiative
- Ability to problem solve day to day issues and work independently
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment
- Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service and a positive, professional and co-operative approach to working with educators, parents and the school community
- Understanding of the National Quality Framework, mandatory reporting guidelines, continuous learning principles, equal employment opportunities, work place health and safety and legal and ethical practice principles (not required but desirable)
- Accounting Experience and/or qualification (not required but desirable)
**Salary**: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
- Shift work
Supplemental pay types:
- Overtime pay
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Mosman, NSW 2088: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- Certificate I - IV (preferred)
