**Description**:
As a Ripening Manager at Perfection Fresh Australia, located in Homebush Markets within the Banana Trading Floor department, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the ripening process of bananas. This permanent full-time position falls under the Sales category and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our organisation. Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the ripening process of bananas to ensure optimal quality and readiness for distribution.
- Coordinate with suppliers to schedule and receive pre-ripened banana shipments.
- Monitor ripening rooms and equipment to maintain ideal temperature, humidity, and airflow conditions.
- Implement quality control measures to assess ripeness levels and address any issues promptly.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the ripening process, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the sales team to forecast ripe banana availability and fulfil customer orders accordingly.
- Lead a team of ripeners, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of ripening activities, inventory levels, and waste management.

Monitor the ripening facility area and ripening rooms cleanliness and proper functioning of equipment
Respond to communications for market sales team for late orders and stock top-ups.
Locate stock and load market transport, record product type and either transfer stock or communicate to stock control team.
Transport stock to Sydney market floor/ warehouse if required
**Skills and Experiences**:

- Prior experience in fruit or produce ripening operations, preferably within a managerial capacity.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
- A proactive approach towards problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives within the ripening process.
