**About Our Client**:
My client is a well established organisation who operate in the Logistics Distribution & Supply Chain industry.
Founded in Queensland a number of years ago, the company has grown and expanded to be the leading player within their industry & now operate across Australia.
The business operates out of modern offices in Eagle Farm with parking available on-site.They have identified a need to improve their payroll processes, systems and compliance & have created this new Payroll Supervisor role to bring in somebody to lead these improvements.
This position involves both the business as usual running of a payroll function paying circa 200 staff.
With predominantly blue collar staff, the new Payroll Supervisor will be liaising with these staff & working alongside them.
Key duties include:
- Managing a team performing end-to-end payroll processing
- Running month and week end reporting and produce reporting to support the CFO & support decision making
- Preparation of all State and Federal tax obligations including PAYG tax, Payroll tax and Superannuation Guarantee contributions
- Improving processes, procedures and systems in payroll - particularly moving off of excel, implementing a proper T&A system etc.
- Managing a small team of 1-2 direct reports
**The Successful Applicant**:
You will have:
- Worked in a blue collar environment, ideally leading a payroll team
- Previously led change & improvement initiatives - with things like improving systems & processes having been a focal point in a previous role
- Strong communication skills - able to build relationships & influence stakeholders across various levels and disciplines within the business
- Able to work in Eagle Farm & have current Australian working rights
