**Role Overview**:
This role presents an exciting challenge for a proactive and forward-thinking professional to shape the future of direct debit management and automation within our organisation.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Process direct debits with existing teams according to established timelines and guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of direct debit transactions and related documentation.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to direct debits.
- Initially, create and distribute monthly reports and statements to customers.
- Develop automated systems for generating and delivering regular reports and statements.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive plan for transforming manual direct debit processes into automated workflows.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions.
- Work closely with the Consumer Support Team to address issues related to bad bank accounts and bank account testing.
- Perform reconciliations for customer accounts to ensure accurate billing and payment processing.
- Continuously assess existing processes to identify areas suitable for automation.
- Lead efforts to automate tasks and streamline workflows for maximum efficiency.
**Role Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
- Highly proficient in excel, this will be critical in managing early-stage manual processes.
- Experience in supervising an accounts receivable team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with process automation tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team and nurture talent.
