**About the **Hospital in the Home team**:
**The Hospital in the Home (HITH) program facilitates the shift of traditional acute care from the hospital, to the patients own home, without compromising patient care. It improves patient satisfaction and is cost effective by reducing the cost of hospitalisation per patient episode of care.**

**About the role**:
The HITH technician works closely with the nursing, admin and Pharmacy team to assist with a variety of duties to support the effective delivery of HITH services.

A regular day will see you:

- Ordering Stock - including liaising with suppliers to source stock as needed
- Managing the fleet of Austin owned VAC machines
- Organising delivery of stock and supplies to patients and staff
- Cleaning and auditing electric infusion pumps
- Assisting with the management of the HITH budget, by ensuring stock is provided in a timely fashion, doesn't go out of date, and supplied in a way that meets patient needs but minimises waste

- Able to judge and juggle competing prioritites: In this role, the needs of the patients and getting them home to their loved ones is the highest priority. Knowing what task can be put on hold, and what task is urgent is a must
- Enjoy working as part of a team, but able to be self directed in managing the workload
