**TasWater**

The purpose of the TasWater Capital Delivery Office (CDO) is to build the capability and capacity of TasWater to fulfil its customer promises for improved service levels by efficiently and effectively delivering an accelerated capital program of works.

The TasWater CDO will deliver:

- Opportunities for people to grow and develop
- Economic benefits and growth opportunities for local industry
- Improved safety outcomes
- Capacity and capability to transition the program back to TasWater post completion
- The necessary framework for emergent projects

**About the Role**

TasWater CDO have a requirement for an experienced Safety Advisor to join our programs team in Hobart. This role will provide advice and support the Project Management in driving improvements in Safety performance through alignment and delivery of Capital Delivery Office Safety programs, and identification and management of HSSE risks within the business.

Some key responsibilities include:

- Provide advice to support and maintain a safe and healthy workplace and for adherence to company policies and other applicable laws, regulations and standards for the workplace.
- Actively implement, review and improve the Safety management system
- Monitor and interpret relevant Safety legislation, policies and regulations in order to provide direction and advice to projects which meet statutory and corporate objectives and responsibilities.
- Liaise with customers, external regulatory bodies, state organisations responsible for workplace safety and ensure compliance and compatibility with their systems and processes.

**About You**
- Minimum Diploma qualified in an Occupational Safety and Health related discipline
- Excellent knowledge of the OH&S, Environment and Workers Compensation legislation
- Demonstrated capability to develop and implement safety management systems
- Thorough knowledge of AS 4801, ISO 9001/14001, ISO31000
- Cert IV Training and Assessment
