Support Worker for Meal Preparation

Able Community Services is NDIS registered organisation and looking for dedicated Support Workers for Canberra region as we are growing. Female support worker for meal preparation is preferred as per client’s preference. Preferable days Monday and Thursday ( 6 hrs each day).

Employment will be commenced ASAP if you are successful.

DUTY STATEMENT:
Help client with meal preparation.

Provide help and assistance to improve participant's daily living skills.

Work alongside people in all phases of their recovery journey.
Work with people to access services and activities in the community.Adhere to administrative procedures including data collection and maintenance of participant records.

Undertake tasks as directed by Service Manager/ Team Leader.

Attend all staff meetings and training.

The successful applicant must have:

- Minimum Certificate III/IV or Diploma in Disability/ Community services/ or Nursing background will be highly regarded.
- A current Working with Vulnerable People Card (ACT)
- A valid National Police Check (issued within 6-month period) or willing to undergo a National Police Check
- Certificate to confirm that NDIS Worker Orientation in completed
- Current first aid certificate or
- A current full Driver Licence, a reliable comprehensive insured vehicle. Car is must for this role.

DESIRABLE:
1. Minimum 1 year of work experience in disability support services,

2. Good understanding of and capacity of working with Physical and Intellectual disability

3.Experience in working with highly challenging participants, We are looking for passionate individuals, wanting to expand on previous experience as a Disability Support Worker by providing high levels of engagement and care.

4. Knowledge of NDIS.

5. must have working rights in Australia
