The Health and Safety team are a group of experienced and educated professionals who have a passion for safety, injury and well-being. They are a collaborative team that partner closely with their stakeholders to ensure the safety and well-being of our team members, customers and contractors. This exciting and dynamic role reports to the State Safety Manager - NSW and there is potential to grow your career withing the broader Health and Safety team.
**This role will be based in Sydney.**

**What you’ll be doing**

As a Health and Safety Officer working for Kmart you will:

- Conduct risk management mitigation activities to improve safety performance for the stores you partner with.
- Complete safety inspections in store as well as safety training and coaching for the leaders that you partner with.
- Support the rollout of proactive safety initiatives across the state of NSW.

**To be successful in this role you’ll have**:

- A certificate four in work health and safety is preferred.
- A sound understanding of work health and safety legislation.
- A minimum of two years’ experience working in a retail environment or a large multisite organisation.
- An ability to build strong collaborative relationships with your stakeholders and the ability influence them in relation to new safety initiatives.
- Exceptional time management skills to ensure the delivery of multiple and conflicting tasks.
- Proficient in word, excel and PowerPoint.
