We are seeking highly experienced Support Workers that will provide high quality of care to people with disabilities. We are also seeking someone that has over 1 year experience in disability and community support. The support worker must have knowledge in managing the client's behaviour. Support worker must assist clients to their appointments and assist them to participant in activities. Support Worker will ensure the delivery of high quality services in accordance with the Human Services Quality Framework is provided to people with a disability or an intellectual disability in order for them to continue to live independently in their own home and or in community.

**Responsibilities**
- To support, enable and empower participants with disabilities and/or their families to live quality lifestyles and participate in activities that are meaningful in their lives.
- Assisting participants with personal care including personal hygiene and grooming, mealtime assistance and to take medication
- Assisting participants to access and participate in activities at a range of community venues
- Assisting participants and or/their family/carers with a range of household tasks including mealtime preparation, general housekeeping and laundry duties.
- To ensure the in participants dignity and privacy is protected at all times.
- Arranging or providing transport to and from activities.
- To encourage positive and socially appropriate behaviour and to effectively respond to participants needs even when demonstrated in a challenging manner.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
