We are looking for an experienced cleaner and people leader to join our team as the **Sustainability Supervisor** at **La Trobe University - Bundoora (Plenty Rd, Bundoora VIC 3086)**. As Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring a high quality cleaning service is provided at the site.

The Sustainability Supervisor is responsible for ensuring efficiente, safe, and effective waste management practices on the Bundoora campus. Overseeing a team of eight waste management staff, this role ensures all duties outlined in the specifications are carried out with mínimal disruption to the client and in a manner that prioritizes safety for employees, clients, and the public.

The role also ensures that all equipment is well-maintained, all deliveries are timely, and sustainability initiatives are advances in line with La Trobe University's environmental goals.

This is a full-time ongoing role (38 hrs/wk) reporting to the Campus Services Manager and leading a team of approx. 8-10 cleaning staff.- **Shift hours 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday to Friday**:

- **Ensure sustainability, responsible for managing safe disposal of waste from bins. *Be physically fit, requirement often to safety lift / move bins to a weight of 25kg.**

**Key Responsibilities**- Supervise and coordinate the activites of the waste management team.
- Develop and maintain rosters, allocate tasks, and monitor team performance.
- Ensure waste collection, segregation, and disposal operations meet expected standards.
- Drive sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction and recycling programs.
- Compile and analyse waste management data for efficiency and compliance.

**About you**- Minimum 2 years cleaning experience as supervisor or team leader, ideally in waste management or sustainability.
- A highly motivated individual with the ability to train and lead other staff.
- Strong supervision, delegation and communication skills to ensure tasks meet expected standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills.
- Full Australian working rights (No students).
- Driver licence is required.
- Working with Children Check is required.
