Commercial Laundry Employee

LFE Community Supports is seeking an honest, hardworking individual who can also be a positive role model to adults with challenged abilities to assist the team within our Commercial Laundry.

The LFE Laundry provides employment to NDIS Participants who have challenged abilities while employing a local team to provide a quality hire service to the Young, Boorowa, Temora, Tumut, Cootamundra and West Wyalong regions.

Flexibility for shifts between 6:00am - 7:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Essential:

- An interest in working with people with challenged abilities and from different cultural backgrounds
- High communication and listening skills
- Good computer skills
- High level of self-motivation and ethics with a commonsense approach
- High standard of interpersonal skills, including self-awareness
- Fitness for Laundry tasks
- Knowledge and understanding of WHS
- Comfortable to work independently as well as an active team member
- Competent to make deliveries in a small and large van within Young and out of town
- Full employment history, including level and year you completed your education

Licenses and checks needed:

- Current driver’s licence - to be provided
- RMS Driving Record - to be provided
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain the certificate
- NDIS Worker Clearance Screening - All successful applicants are required to obtain this clearance prior to commencement of the role. This is a mandatory clearance for the disability industry. More information can be found at Services NSW or you can speak to our HR team on 63801601
- Covid 19 Vaccination - digital certificate to be provided

Desirable:

- Mechanical Knowledge highly desirable
- Laundry Experience
- Knowledge of the NDIS

Conditions of Employment:

- As per Dry Cleaning and Laundry Industry Award 2010
- Subject to completion of satisfactory 6-month trial period
