**The roles**

Economists and Economic Analysts are at the forefront of tax reform in NSW, helping deliver high quality advice and analysis on state tax, revenue measures and strategic initiatives to support government decision making, policy development and implementation. Roles may focus on policy research and development, the development and implementation of new policy measures, consultation with internal and external stakeholders and evaluation of existing policies. A strong team focus, the ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships and guiding junior team members in achieving the branch’s objectives are important parts of this role.
