You’ll join a supportive team of seasoned professionals, tackling the challenges of maintaining and optimising large, complex plant systems and successfully completing outages. **The key responsibilities of the role include**:

- ** Maintenance and Reliability**:You’llconduct high-level electrical and control maintenance, ensuring our plant operates at peak efficiency and reliability. You'll play a key role in refining maintenance processes and implementing improvements.
- ** Project Leadership**: You’ll lead and contribute to small projects from design to installation, ensuring effective execution. In addition, you’ll provide direction and advice for critical and complex projects related to monitoring and control systems.
- ** Teamwork and Development**: To promote a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork you will lead, mentor and guide apprentices, trainees and team members. When needed you will guide small teams, assisting the Leading Hand/Team Leader with resource allocation and monitoring work progress.
- ** Resource Management and Documentation**:You’ll deliver planning, budgeting, and resource allocation, focusing on system improvements for monitoring work progress and support procurement and inventory management for spare parts. With a high level of attention to detail you will prepare and update drawings and documentation to algin with Delta’s Standards.
- ** Safety and Compliance**: You’ll prioritise safety in every task, rigorously adhering to company standards and legal requirements to ensure the safest possible work environment.

**About You**:

- You have a trade certificate in electrical, electronics, instrumentation or other relevant qualifications, and have had the opportunity to hone your skills in real-world settings. A relevant Advanced Diploma or post trade qualification will be highly regarded.
- You bring an in-depth knowledge of modern power stations or other heavy industry and have an interest in working with large process plant
- You are an analytical thinker with an aptitude for fault finding, analysis and problem solving
- You are equally effective working collaboratively with others or handling tasks independently
- You thrive in high-pressure environments, delivering top-notch results efficiently and on time
- You value your team and are committed to developing and mentoring others around you towards success
- You enjoy building relationships across all levels and have outstanding communication skills
- You are dedicated to both process and personal safety, ensuring that all activities meet the highest standards and compliance requirements

Vales Point is a dynamic coal-fired power station delivering a dependable supply of 24-hour baseload electricity.
