**About us**

Procurement Services is part of the Corporate Governance and Support division, it provides department-wide procurement leadership and strategic direction, policy, process, capability development. Procurement Services monitors and reports on procurement performance, to minimise procurement risk and support the delivery of value.

**About the role**

The role sits in the Category Management team which is responsible for the development and delivery of category strategies to provide the department with value-for-money procurement outcomes, while ensuring that risks are managed and that business needs are achieved. The team develops effective relationships with stakeholders, manages relevant centre-led procurement activities whilst assisting departmental staff deliver procurement activities and grants.

The role's key accountabilities are:

- supporting the development of category plans
- supporting the management of assigned sourcing activities
- supporting contract management activities
- providing stakeholders with high level customer service
- drafting, maintaining, and filing relevant category documentation.

**About you**

**Technical Expertise**
- **Procurement** - knowledge and experience of end-to-end commercial procurement activities including sourcing and contract management.
- **Sourcing** - knowledge and experience ability to deliver high quality RFx documentation in line with defined framework.
- **Evaluation** - knowledge and experience in evaluation activities in line with defined plan and prepare high quality evaluation reports.
- **Analysis** - knowledge and experience in delivering high quality spend and market analysis reports and other analysis to identify relevant risks and opportunities.
