Bribie Island State High School is a co-educational secondary school located on the Island with a population of approximately 18,500, situated 73 kilometres north of Queensland's capital city. The school opened its doors to its first student intake on January 23, 1989 with 300 students. We now have a school population of over 1,100 students and 100 employees.
Bribie Island State High School enjoys a strong reputation for quality education. We seek to provide a rewarding and engaging education for all students. We have close working relationships with the two primary schools on the island, Bribie Island State School and Banksia Beach State School, including secondary transition programs.

As educators we are constantly searching for new ideas, and the latest research to inform what we provide to our students and how we deliver it.
