Our client is currently seeking a talented and experienced Accounts Officer to join our team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your accounting skills and contribute to our organisations' financial success.

**Your new role**

The role of the Accounts Officer, reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Assist with the payroll function as needed
- Prepare and review financial documents, including invoices, statements, and reports.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any financial discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, regulations, and procedures.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be considered for this role, you will have proven experience operating as an Accounts Officer or within a fast-paced, busy team. Other experience required:

- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Myob, SAP).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is desired
