**The Opportunity**
Reporting to the Lead Experience Designer, the Associate Experience Designer is responsible for designing user experiences across customer-facing assets both internal and external. You will do this by working within an Agile scrum team to solve real customer problems from concept to delivery.
This role will work on tightly scoped initiatives in close collaboration with Designers, Content, Researchers, Engineering & Product Owners where you will translate user and business requirements into compelling experiences. You will have the opportunity to create prototypes and other artefacts to demonstrate interactions and functionality, create user flows, sketches, wireframes, and polished high-fidelity visuals to be used throughout design and development aligning to our Design System.
You will also support the building of our inclusive design principles, and accessible experiences for everyone. You will also help the team conduct research, where you will work to gain a deep understanding of our customer needs.
As an Associate Experience Designer within the Digital Health Insurance team, you’ll help shape the next chapter in how our customers interact digitally with Bupa to provide them healthier, happier lives.
**About You**
We are looking for an Associate User Experience Designer who has a curiosity to understand health insurance business drivers and customer needs, as well as a passion and eagerness to grow your design & research skills You love working with a growth mindset, enjoy leveraging design thinking and HCD methodologies, and pride yourself on your knowledge of industry trends.
To be considered for this role you will have:
- At least 1+ years’ experience working in Design Systems.
- 1+ years’ of digital design or related design experience.
- Experience practicing web or mobile app (iOS/Android) design and research.
- Experience with of design tools (Figma).
- Exposure or knowledge of research tools (Lookback, Userzoom, Optimal Workshop, Dovetail).
- Empathy for users and genuinely care about them having the best experience.
- Understand and incorporate technical and business constraints into your design.
- Make data and research-driven decisions.
- Ability to work closely with other disciplines, namely design, research, content, optimisation, product, business analysis, and software engineering.
- Proactive work ethic and enjoy using your initiative
