**The Role**
The APS6 Technical Specialist at RAAF Base Pearce is the head of a small team of Air Force and APS mechanics, fitters, and other skilled trades people who maintain a range of mechanical equipment to support airbase capabilities. The position is the Senior Maintenance Manager for General Service Equipment at the base. They are responsible for ensuring compliance with maintenance standards that govern vehicles and specialist military handling equipment such as cargo loading, fuel, power, and aircraft support equipment, as well as aircraft arrestor systems on the runway.
**About our Team**
The Mechanical Equipment Operations and Maintenance (MEOMS) section is part of Number 25 Squadron (City of Perth). 25 Squadron is responsible for all aspects of Airbase Operations at RAAF Bases Pearce and Learmonth, including airfield safety and security, air cargo handling, and operations management. The unit also supports other Air Force units in Western Australia which operate jet and training aircraft, air traffic control, and military security.
