**Am I suited to being a Youth Disability Employment Mentor with APM’s Penrith office?**
This could be a great fit for someone who is semi-retired, about to graduate or a parent looking for flexibility. This role is a part time casual position working any 3 days a week, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm (22.8 HRS). The role will also have the capacity to develop into a full time permanent role quite quickly if you wish.
We welcome those from various backgrounds, including previous experience in Youth Services, NDIS, Community Services and Employment Services. You are a resilient and creative problem solver and love working in a collaborative environment where you are driving the success of a new program. Your happy to step up and take responsibility, you’re looking for a role where you can make an impact and genuinely help young people with disabilities on their path to employment.
**The role**
You will be based in the Penrith APM office. APM Futures is a new program that will see you delivering highly individualised employment supports to NDIS Participants.
You will be motivating, mentoring and supporting personal growth, helping your participants to develop and establish their vocational identity, tailoring their supports to their individual requirements.
- Provide support and mentorship to participants that encourages skills development and increases their capacity for work
- Deliver person centred supports to participants transitioning for school to work
- Provide on-site support once employment has commenced and assist with integration
- Travel as required for service delivery and support of participants
- Permanent part time role, working 4 day (30.4) hrs weekly

**To be considered, you will have...**
- Eligibility to work in Australia
- A current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
- have current First Aid and CPR
- Willing to complete a Criminal History Check
- Able to pass a Working with Children Check
- be able to pass a NDIS Worker Screening Check
- be able to pass and complete an NDIS Worker Orientation Module prior to commencement
