YES Youth Employment Services is federally funded to deliver the Transition to Work program, assisting young people aged 17-24 in preparing for, securing, and maintaining employment and/or education. An initiative of Schools Industry Partnership (SIP), YES delivers this program across the Penrith, Blue Mountains, and Hawkesbury regions.

In this hands-on and varied role, you'll facilitate and coordinate engaging workshops and activities that help young people build confidence, practical skills, and motivation for their next steps in work or study. You'll create interactive, strengths-based learning experiences that focus on employability, communication, teamwork, and personal development, supporting participants to reach their full potential.

You'll also play a vital role in coordinating logistics, catering, transport, and resources, ensuring all environments are welcoming, safe, and professional. This role requires practical support to staff and stakeholders, ensuring smooth and engaging program delivery across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and facilitate engaging workshops on employability, career skills, and confidence building across Penrith, Windsor, and Springwood.

  • Support events like YES Expos and Careers Markets assisting with logistics, catering, and set-up.

  • Manage program resources, including laptops, training materials, snacks, and equipment.

  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment, ensuring all spaces reflect professionalism and pride in our service.

  • Build positive relationships with young people, staff, and community partners.

  • Represent SIP and the YES program positively in all interactions, upholding our values of Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, and Innovation.

About You

You're a confident facilitator with at least 2 years' experience running engaging workshops, ideally with youth or job seekers. You thrive on helping young people reach their potential and are just as comfortable coordinating behind the scenes as leading in front of a group.

You'll bring:

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) or higher – essential.

  • Experience facilitating engaging workshops or training sessions, ideally with youth or job seekers.

  • Excellent communication, administration, organisation, and teamwork skills.

  • A proactive, "can-do" attitude and ability to adapt quickly.

  • Demonstrated advantaged thinking and problem-solving

  • Current NSW driver's licence and willingness to travel between sites.

  • Current Working with Children and Federal Police Checks.
