**Minimum qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Professional Accounting qualification (CA or CPA).
- 10 years of experience with accounting practice or public multinational companies.
- Experience with Tax compliance.
**Preferred qualifications**:
- Experience in process management, implementing governance structures, and reporting frameworks.
- Experience in and understanding of International statutory reporting processes and procedures for a multinational.
- Knowledge of and ability to work across multiple functions including Corporate Accounting, Tax, Legal, Vendor Management, and Financial Operations.
- Excellent people skills with the ability to build relationships and credibility.
- Project management, problem-solving, analysis, business judgment, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
**About the job**:
The Finance Operations team manages Google's cash transactions on a global basis and ensures that Google's incoming and outgoing cash processes are controlled, effective and efficient. As a member of this team, you'll find innovative ways to manage our complex set of transactions. You'll make processes more efficient and scalable, work to ensure the highest level of quality of our operations, and proactively minimize operational risk. Externally, you collaborate with our extended workforce partners and internally, you will collaborate across the multiple areas of the Financial Operations team.
International Controllership seeks to ensure that any Alphabet company can do business in any country. In order to realize this goal and operate in a responsible and controlled manner, we take a risk based approach and align resources with jurisdictional and regional requirements. Our team forms an integral part of Alphabet’s global Controllership function, working closely with partner teams across the company.
As the Tax Process Lead, you will support International Controllership leadership in the oversight and management of tax filings and processes, including supporting in-country requirements across APAC. As a leader in the International Reporting and Governance team, you will have the opportunity to provide insightful data-driven strategic recommendations to leadership.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
**Responsibilities**:
- Be responsible for overseeing the tax process within APAC Controllership, including management of processes performed by external vendors ensuring that all service levels are met, the internal control environment is robust, and quality service is provided.
- Partner with the internal Tax team on new regulations and implementation. Deliver implementation of optimization opportunities for tax processes within International Controllership.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of tools, systems, and upstream processes in support of tax processes and highlight opportunities for improvement, managing projects that will yield risk mitigation and efficiency through optimization and automation.
- Partner with International Tax Operations to design our operational model and deliver tax operations at the country level in APAC.- Represent International Controllership through effective communication with our key business partners, including Entity Accountants and Country Controllers, Tax, Treasury, S2P, RCO, Legal, and Financial Planning.Google is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
