**About the role**
CYSM is seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team in Ipswich, QLD. This is a casual role, providing compassionate care and support to individuals living with a disability. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the quality of life for our clients and helping them achieve their personal goals.

**Who we're looking for**

We’re currently looking for a mature, level-headed female support worker to provide personalised, one-on-one support for one of our valued participants in Ipswich. This role is more than just a job — it’s about building trust, creating stability, and being a calm, compassionate presence in someone’s everyday life.

This participant thrives with someone who listens deeply, brings a calming energy, and is comfortable around both mental health complexities and a more relaxed home environment. The right support worker will understand the value of respect, boundaries, and connection.

**Your role**

As a CSYM Support Worker, you’ll:

- Assist participants in accessing the community and home environments
- Help build skills and increase capacity in line with NDIS goals
- Foster genuine connections with participants through meaningful interactions
- Work collaboratively with co-workers, management, and head office
- Assist with day-to-day activities, including transport in a reliable vehicle that can accommodate a folding wheelchair
- Being comfortable in a home where medicinal cannabis is used and a friendly dog is part of the family

**What we're looking for**
- Mature, grounded, and compassionate
- Strong active listening and communication skills
- Mental health training or experience (preferred, but not essential)
- Reliable vehicle with folding wheelchair accessibility
- Comfortable around dogs and open-minded about individual lifestyle choices
- Dependable, calm, and values consistency in care

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
- Public holidays
- Weekend availability

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
