**We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Personal Assistant to join our Mental Health Team**
The Repat Neuro-Behavioural Unit (RNBU) will provide high quality, compassionate, relationship-centred care to consumers living with dementia who experience associated behavioural and psychological symptoms at very severe to extreme levels. These consumers will have specialised needs that make them initially not able to be supported in mainstream aged care environments, with a goal of the unit being successful transfer to a less specialised long term setting.
**About the role**:
Reporting to the Regional Administrative Manager (RAM), this role is responsible to ensure an effective and efficient confidential clerical support service to Head of Unit (RNBU), Executive staff, Nursing Directors across SALHN / Mental Health.
Duties for the role will include:
- Engaged in the SA Health dignity in care principles, understanding and promoting emotional support provided in efforts to understand the consumer and relieve distress,
- Scribing minutes, typing and distributing in a timely manner,
- Contributing to the development of an integrated team approach and culture which is highly responsive to the needs of our consumers,
- Prove honest and sensitive feedback, whilst being receptive to and encouraging constructive feedback.
**About you**:
- Demonstrated ability to deal with numerous demands, determine and organise priorities, plan appropriately meet deadlines, work under pressure and take initiative where appropriate,
- Having good computing knowledge and word processing skills,
- Writing and updating procedures/orientation packs,
- Demonstrated ability to recognise and deal appropriately with confidential matters.
