Asquith Workforce are currently working with a leading steel manufacturing, distribution and recyclng business. They are located in 150 locations across Australia. With 100+ years operating in Australia they have a reputation for excellence.

They are currently looking for a Safety & Training Co-Ordinator. Some of the responsibilities of this role include:

- Inductions and onboarding to site
- Training and Assessing of internal SOP’s and courses
- Administering the Learning Management System (training records)
- Performing plant risk assessments
- Writing new SOP’s based off risk assessments & amending existing SOP’s for update
- Managing documents that are up for review
- Running WH&S meetings
- Facilitating and co-ordinating other safety functions

The skills and qualifications required for this role:

- Qualified trainer and assessor Cert IV
- Cert IV in WHS
- Good attitude towards safety
- Good communication skills
- Good computer skills and ability to learn new software / system. Share point and LMS.
- Systems orientated and good and diligent in record keeping.
- Ability to conduct formal risk assessments, ie JSA’s, HIRA’s etc.
- Be a part of the Supervision Leadership team
- Self motivated and good work ethic
