**About the role**:
Supporting a female Samoan client, who experiences challenges with mobility for personal cares. These challenges require assistance with personal cares, bowel therapy, catheter care, and assistance with turns to manage pressure wounds.
This lady requires 24/7 supports, assistance with personal cares, bowel therapy, catheter care, and assistance with turns to manage pressure wounds, but most importantly, she really wants to be actively involved with the implementation of her daily needs.
She is an awesome lady who involves her family in her cares as they are her strengths and are her everything.
She does need people who have experience in bowel therapy and catheter care and who live within a short driving distance. It's not all on you though, as you will have support in this via a comprehensive care plan, ongoing training and support from our awesome coordination team
The ideal Support Worker is someone who is able to take direction well and is very reliable in attending to shifts.

**_Your key responsibilities & accountabilities _**
- To deliver high quality support to our Clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered.
- Communicate effectively with our Clients, team & coordinators and participate in collaboration for our Clients needs.
- Understand, follow instructions, and responsive to our Clients needs.
- Provide personal cares, conversation, cleaning, cooking and various other types of support to our Clients as required.
- Have good rapport building skills.
- Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required.
- Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Clients.
- To support our Clients to achieve their NDIS Goals.
**_To be Successful you must _**
- Resonate with the role discription above
- Hold CPR and first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Hold NDIS worker screening or yellow card and blue cards (or willingness to obtain)
- Hold Certificate III in disability or related fields (or willingness to obtain)
- Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia
- Have a genuine desire to positively change people's lives
**_Desirable Criteria _**
- Bowel therapy

- Diabetes management
- Manual handling experience
**Job Type**: Casual
**Salary**: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

Supplementary Pay:

**Experience**:
- Bowel therapy: 1 year (preferred)
- Catheter care: 1 year (preferred)
- Manual handling: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Card or Yellow Card (preferred)
Work Authorisation:
- Australia (preferred)
