Consultant - Real-world Evidence

We are seeking a Consultant to join the Real-World Evidence (RWE) team at IQVIA Australia. If successful you will be joining an entrepreneurial, consultative, and collaborative team that works at the cutting edge of the healthcare industry in Australia.
The RWE team works on a broad range of activities to support our base of pharmaceutical, biotechnology and consumer healthcare industry clients in the generation of high-quality real-world evidence (RWE), this includes:
- Execution of real-world studies using a range of methods (e.g., retrospective, prospective, “mixed methods”) to develop scientific publications for peer reviewed journals
- Development digital health initiatives to help understand and improve the patient experience
- Development of thought leadership used to engage our core client base, government bodies & patient groups
- Creation of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AIML) algorithms to support disease diagnosis & treatment optimisation
**Principal Accountabilities**
As a Consultant you will be working on a range of client projects and internal initiatives, your responsibilities will be to:
- Support and/or lead clearly defined workstreams independently with mínimal guidance from senior team members as part of client engagements
- Design, conduct and deliver research studies independently, with mínimal support from project leader
- Execute and lead client meetings & workshops
- Support sales opportunities and proposal development
- Outreach and engage existing and potential partners (including data, technology, and research organisations)
- Proactively develop a basic knowledge of consulting methodologies, observational research, and the life sciences market through the delivery of engagements and participation in formal and informal learning opportunities
- Acquire deep knowledge of IQVIA data sources and the broader Real World Data landscape
**About You**
- Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree preferred (Master's degree or PhD)
- At least 3-5 years work experience in healthcare / life science or data-focussed role
- Project management experience and proven ability to deliver results
- Understanding of and interest in the Australian healthcare environment
- Competent in using Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Excellent problem-solving skills, solution-oriented and good analytical skills
- Strong commitment to high quality work and an interest in rapid learning and skill development
- Attention to detail and ability to deliver high quality work within timeline
