**About the Company**

Davidson are currently working with a state government client who are seeking 2 experienced AO4 Payroll Officers.

**About the Role**

To provide a high level of support to internal customers and deliver payroll processing services which are accurate, consistent with required documentation and filing of the fortnightly payroll.
- Provide accurate payroll processing services to ensure internal customers receive correct fortnightly pay, on time.
- Provide accurate and timely advice to employees, human resources and managers on payroll matters in accordance with Queensland government directives, policies and procedures, applicable award, and certified agreement.
- Provide support on complex payroll matters (workers compensation, early retirement, processing leave balances form other Qld government departments, overpayments, underpayments) to ensure entitlements are understood and actions taken for correct payment.
- As required actively participate in ongoing payroll process improvement initiatives to deliver improved experience to internal customers, improvements in quality and effectiveness.
- Be responsible for maintaining accurate records, reconciliation, filing and documentation of all payroll processing transactions that ensures integrity of the payroll system.
- Participate in testing payroll system service pack upgrades to ensure that any updates do not impact on functionality for the delivery of the pay run.
- Respond to staff enquiries received by the payroll team, ensuring that there is a record of the response, there is escalation on complex matters and the enquiries are addressed in a timely manner.
- Provide fortnightly payroll reports using reporting tools.

**About You**
- Demonstrated experience in processing accurate pays for the award and non award employees in a complex environment.
- Demonstrated experience with report writing in Aurion and generate reports and provide insights that provide value to the HR team.
- Proven track record of working with others within payroll and HR
- Sound working knowledge of payroll services within Queensland Public Sector.
- Sound experience utilising MS Office.
