Job Summary

The Critical Facilities Specialist supports the wider team by performing repairs and leading all aspects of site maintenance at our static site. The successful applicant will be tasked with coordinating the maintenance and up keeping of all Data center infrastructure according to Equinix global standards.

The role would suit an “all-rounder” who is confident and capable in all facets of our engineering scope. Experience and expertise with chiller plants will be highly regarded in this role, and there will be the chance to project manage small works in conjunction with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Provides the team with technical support and advice
- Acts as SME and provides training to team members where needed
- Breakdown and Repairs Management
- Maintenance Scheduling and Planned Preventative Maintenance
- Maintaining Security Policy and Procedures
- Reporting - Reviews specialist contractual reports and activities
- Assess Consistency to Policy - Ensures all repairs performed on all data center infrastructure are completed according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and standard methodologies
- Problem Solving - root cause analysis and in the repair of failed components
- Teamwork -Liaises with regional construction or design teams on design changes
- Design - Validates design criteria for new principal power installations (e.g., single power source)

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
- Trade Certificate or Degree in related fields
- Willingness to work autonomously and unsupervised when required
- Ideally some data center or mission critical exposure and experience
- Confident working across all engineering disciplines
- Positive demeanor and outlook, enjoys working in a team environment
- Ability to attain and maintain NV1 security clearance
