Suncorp Group is looking for a best-in-class Commercial Major Loss Claims Officer to join our team to deliver exceptional customer service on a permanent basis.

**What you’ll do**
- Management of ISR, complex commercial property and large loss claim files from assessment to settlement
- Manage the insured/brokers claim expectations and explain in plain English policy response and how settlement achieved.
- Assist fellow Claims Officers - we work as a team; this means that we distribute the workload to ensure that claims are handled in a prompt and efficient manner.
- Provide Underwriters and Claims Manager with feedback from issues or risk deficiencies.
- Provide regular claim progress updates to Brokers and Customers as per Service Standards and Code of Practice including any declinatures and to invite feedback.
- Effective use & knowledge of the computer systems.
- Determine appropriate contract coverage, including indemnity, legal liability and quantum issues

**What you’ll bring**
- Extensive claims experience in Commercial Property Claims
- Experience in managing ISR claims
- Strong technical knowledge of both material damage and business interruption claims
- Proven performer in customer service roles
- Ideally have completed or completing ANZIIF studies (or equivalent)
- Strong decision-making skills
