Dietitian (Paediatrics)

The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Dietitian (Paediatrics) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Manage an allocated paediatric nutrition workload to deliver a professional level of nutrition and dietetic services to patients in the health service and across the continuum of care
- Undertake routine nutrition assessment, implementation and evaluation tasks within established clinical and departmental protocols, policy and procedures
- Utilise professional knowledge, clinical skills, judgement and problem-solving ability, developing skills and experience to the level of routine evidence-based day to day clinical practice
- Actively participate in paediatric multidisciplinary teams and in service improvement activities, working cooperatively and effectively within the paediatric team

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- A possession of a tertiary degree (or equivalent) in Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognised tertiary institution
- To be eligible for membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia and accredited practicing credential
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card - QLD Health will meet the cost)
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be completed

Salary
- Temporary full time (9 months, with possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $2 979.80 - $4 122.60 per fortnight

The Nutrition and Food Services department is committed to safe, effective optimal nutrition management for adult and paediatric patients as well as education and training, credentialing and scope of clinical practice, performance management reports, evidence-based care, monitoring of variation in clinical practice and health outcomes. Based in Southport.
