SIXT Australia is seeking a **Permanent Full Time Area Manager** to join the team at **Brisbane Central (Brisbane City and Hendra)**.

**About the role**:
The Area Manager is responsible for providing support in major areas of the business. You responsibilities include:

- Managing all staff to achieve maximum efficiency
- Daily meetings with operational team to set daily focus
- Ensuring all locations within the area of responsibility are supported with rentable fleet and drive utilisation targets accordingly
- Supporting staff by working on the front desk or any part of branch if required
- Creating and maintain a positive working environment that promotes open communication and empowerment
- Driving change and company initiatives
- Ensuring all staff fully understand their role and how their performance is measured
- Generating excitement and passion in customer service initiatives through open communication and sharing of best practice
- Ensuring that employees are adhering to safe work practices and HSE compliance
- Ensuring all relevant policies and procedures are implemented
- Making positive steps to understand the nature of the operations on their site and understand the potential hazards and risks associated with the business

**About You**:

- Car rental experience
- Demonstrated effective usage of interpersonal skills along with communication style to coach staff in selling to customers and providing exceptional service
- Desire to work in a competitive environment where sales targets are exceeded and results are achieved through teamwork
- Proven ability to exceed customer expectations in terms of the service and quality of product offered
- Promotion of a professional, enthusiastic and flexible manner when dealing with customers, staff and the SIXT Australia brand
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
- Desire and passion to progress and pursue a career within SIXT Australia
- Current Provisional or Open Driver's Licence
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
- Highly developed ability to problem solve
- Ability to work effectively during periods of high demand and stress dictated by the position
- Experience in negotiation, handling conflict and confrontation, and facilitating resolution
- Proven experience in working as part of a team
