**Ab**out th**e role**

This position is a permanent full-time role leading the People and Safety team based at Council’s Administration Office in Moruya. A key focus will be to lead and drive the strategic direction of the People and Safety department in collaboration with the leadership team.

Main duties include:

- providing strategic leadership of human resources services across the organisation
- providing strong leadership and management of the People and Safety department, including developing and monitoring Council’s Workforce Strategy as part of Council’s Delivery Program & Operational Plan
- providing high level HR and WHS consultancy advice and oversee case management on matters relating to Industrial Relations, workplace safety and performance management
- orchestrating workforce management and transformation to create a safe and positive workplace

The role is a member of the Executive Leadership Team and sits within the Finance and Corporate Services Directorate.
