We are seeking a Mechanical Fitter who has an extensive career supporting the ongoing demands of a busy Production setting. The role will require your proven background in preventative and breakdown maintenance, strong trouble shooting and diagnostic skills to provide ongoing process improvements through root cause analysis.

As part of this role your responsibilities will include the following skills and attributes:

- Setting up machines to ensure they are operating to their full potential.
- Diagnosing of machinery problems, trouble shooting and conducting repairs
- Implementation of Preventative maintenance plans to ensure the ongoing productivity of various machinery.
- Support the production team in the operation of machinery.
- Perform ongoing maintenance of machinery.
- General housekeeping
- Practice and promote safe working practices.

To ensure your success:

- You must hold a Certificate III or IV in Mechanical Engineering
- A sound knowledge of GMP's, statistical process techniques
- Strong computer skills in MEX or similar
- Solid troubleshooting, critical thinking skills.
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and a team player.

We currently have opportunities available on day, afternoon and night shift, working with this leading food manufacturer in their field.

Supplemental pay types:

- Hallam VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
