**The Opportunity**

Due to internal promotion, we are seeking an Assistant Fund Manager to join one of our funds on a **Permanent Full Time**basis located in either **Brisbane**or **Sydney**.

You will join QIC Property Fund (QPF), which currently has over $6 bil funds under management. This is an exciting opportunity to work at one of the largest retail, town centre anchored funds and partner with three of the largest local institutional investors in the Australian market.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional financial and asset oversight for both investors and QIC. Internal collaboration is key, so you will work closely with the QIC Fund Manager and other key stakeholders to achieve optimal, risk-adjusted investment performance for QPF.

Below are key deliverables expected of the role:

- Deliver and execute an investment strategy for the fund that drives outperformance, which entails tracking and monitoring QPF performance against budget, targets, and peers.
- Lead the development and evolution of the fund’s strategy, ensuring alignment with business and investor expectations, while reviewing and challenging annual budgeting, asset development plans, and investment decisions to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Manage financial model reviews, valuation recommendations, the capital management process, and tax efficiency, while delivering on investor needs and supporting effective market research and performance analysis.
- Manage governance, compliance reporting, and prepare investor communications, ensuring adherence to fund agreements and policies.
- Monitor key retail performance indicators such as sales trends, NOI, leasing spreads, and occupancy costs while reviewing asset strategies and plans.
- Assess and approve asset strategies, master plans, operating budgets, and development feasibilities, ensuring alignment with overall vision and identifying key risks and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain exceptional stakeholder relationships and external market reputation outcomes for the Fund, and contribution to this at the broader Real Estate team level.Manage and mentor the Senior Portfolio Analyst.

**About You**

We are seeking a motivated individual with experience in funds management and/or real estate. You will have a strong understanding of the property and funds management industry, including competitor landscape and the key economic and real estate market drivers, particularly within the retail town centre sector. With solid knowledge of real estate valuation principles and allied professions such as legal, planning, and development, you will take ownership of asset strategies and effectively influence internal teams and work with investors to identify opportunities that drive strong performance.

Your excellent relationship management, communication, and presentation skills will be key in partnering with stakeholders and providing strategic advice. You will demonstrate accountability, attention to detail, business agility, and the ability to pivot on competing priorities as required to navigate complex challenges and ensure your adding value across a variety of real estate and funds management initiatives.
