**About the Role**
- We support people with disabilities, and people living with a mental illness. EmpowerU Support Teams focussed on co-production, supporting people to make decisions about their life and support.
The support you provide might include:
- Helping the person develop skills - for example, making a budget, taking public transport, using assistive technology, or preparing meals
- Assisting the person to participate in social outings, recreational activities and community events
- Providing companionship, conversation and emotional support.
- Assisting with transport to attend appointments

**Key Responsibilities**
- Follow person-centred support plans and behaviour support plans respectfully
- Participate in community activities and encourage clients to perform daily living tasks
- Track and maintain records of client progress
- Build and maintain positive relationships with our clients and their families
- Provide in-home support and domestic assistance
**About you**
- Patient, flexible and understanding
- Supportive and caring nature
- Commitment to the rights of people with disabilities to live dignified lives
- Able to accept responsibility and are able to work in a team.
- Good communication skills
**Skills & Experience**
- An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s license
- Minimum 2 years’ experience - of previous psycho-social disability support
- Working within the community and Mental Health environment experience is required
- Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with children check
**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: $33.00 - $47.00 per hour
