We are a small packaging company that is 100% Australian owned with a focus on producing and filling high-quality sachets, pouches, and other flexible packaging, also bottles, jars, and other containers.
Our services include filling of liquids, creams, pastes, powders, granular products and liquids with particulates.

We are looking for a qualified maintenance fitter. This position will be ongoing permanent for the right person. This is a hands-on role for a dedicated Maintenance fitter to join a growing team. We are a well-established local manufacturing business in Penrith that produce high-quality food and pharmaceutical packaging on FMCG machinery.

**The Key Responsibilities**:

- Setting up production lines and sachet machines, bottle lines etc.
- Plan and carry out line changeovers to meet production needs
- Ensure the lines run smoothly each shift
- Adjustments and repairs to machines
- Perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance for mechanical and electrical systems
- Competent in machining and fitting
- Implement and recommend improvements to plant machinery
- Maintain workshop and parts

**The Role Requires**:

- Maintenance/line setting experience in the pharmaceutical or FMCG market
- A strong background in maintenance, servicing and repair
- Understanding of pneumatics and pneumatic systems
- Basic electrical and PLC knowledge
- Experience with connect/disconnect of electrical wiring, disconnect license preferred
- Welding and fabrication experience tool-making skills preferred
- Be competent in the use and operation and use of all workshop tools and equipment, including but not limited to lathes, milling machines, grinders etc.
- Experience in GMP and HACCP environment, following protocols and ensuring all documentation is completed
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Be able to pass a police check
- Be adaptable and be able to work unsupervised with a proactive work ethic
- Be able to work unrestricted in Australia
- Have own, reliable transport

**Hours**
- 7:30 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday
- 7:30 am to 1:30 pm Friday

**License**:
Australian Drivers License
Forklift License (not required but an advantage)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
