**ASSET **Packaging Machines is an Australian owned Engineering company. Our core business is in the manufacture, installation, and support through service and spare parts, of Liquid Filling Machines and associated machinery such as Conveyors, Tables, and Cappers.

We supply many different industries including Food and Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Cleaning, Chemical, and Cosmetic, operating throughout Australia.

Due to a new vacancy within our team, we are looking for an experienced Fitter and Pneumatics Technician to fulfil Service requirements and work in-house as required.

**To be considered for this role you will be able to**:

- Liaise effectively with customers to efficiently provide service, find solutions, commissioning and training in a manner that leaves the customer in full control of their machinery
- Travel interstate as required
- Read and interpret technical or engineering drawings and pneumatic schematics
- Use a range of tools and operate machinery required to perform your responsibilities
- Identify and pick parts from BOM listings
- Accurately fit and assemble metal parts and sub-assemblies
- Assemble, and modify pneumatic circuits
- Use precision measuring equipment to check accuracy and quality of finished machinery, parts, or sub-assemblies
- Set up and adjust production line machines and equipment
- Troubleshoot to find solutions, rectify, and test
- Provide quotations if required
- Provide service reporting
- Carry out all work in a safe and efficient manner
- Able to adhere to company policies and procedures
- Knowledge of volumetric liquid filling machines, conveyors, turntables and cappers an advantage
- Work independently with initiative, whilst recognising you are part of a team

**You will have**:

- An Australian recognised trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or similar
- A valid Australian Driver’s License
- Minimum 5 years industry experience with 2 years in a customer facing service position
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Experience using Outlook and Excel
- Experience with Pneumatic software essential. Fluid Draw an advantage

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

- Overtime pay
