Reporting to your Team Leader and working as part of a larger support team, your role is critical to supporting an active young adult in a supported independent living environment, make the most out of his day.

Finding comfort in a set routine and regular scheduled activities, this outgoing individual requires support workers who are energetic and active, able to provide consistent encouragement with day-to-day tasks and community outings. This includes encouraging with assisted tasks such as meal preparation and household chores as well as motivating him to complete independent tasks such as hygiene and self-care.

Support with outdoor activities may include walks and bike rides in the national park, visiting family and swimming at the beach. Sometimes it may just include being able to sit and deconstruct things Which may mean having fun with thinking of fun new things to deconstruct
