Job description:

Superior Home Health Services are seeking qualified, reliable and passionate Home and Community Personal Care Workers to join our team in the Sunshine Coast Region - Kawana/Sippy Downs QLD and Beerwah/Peachester QLD. You will need to be friendly, positive, and determined to make a difference. You can demonstrate client-focused behavior, show empathy, and treat others with dignity and respect. You'll be a natural relationship builder, honest, helpful, and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.

We are offering casual roles with a view to permanent part-time for suitable candidates.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Working within a person-centered, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client;
  • Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and domestic duties;
  • Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship, and support;
  • Providing support with social and recreational activities;
  • Preparing food, feeding clients, and assisting clients with medications;
  • Observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client;
  • Responding to emergency situations; and
  • Working weekend and overnight shifts as rostered

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Individual Care/Aged Care or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
  • Current National Police Check
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificates
  • Current unrestricted driver's licence
  • Medication Assistance (desirable)
  • A reliable, well-maintained vehicle
  • Comprehensive car insurance
  • NDIS Worker Screening including Blue Card (or equivalent)
  • Community experience, 1 year +
