**About the Department for Correctional Services**
The Department employs approximately 2,000 staff and has responsibility for nine prisons and sixteen Community Correctional offices across the state. Our vision is for a safer community by protecting the public and reducing re-offending. **Duties**
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the effective delivery of Intervention Programs (Domestic and Family Violence Intervention Program, the Aboriginal Men’s Family Violence Program, the Making Changes, and any other identified Core Programs introduced by DCS). The Clinical Supervisor is also responsible for the clinical supervision of program delivery staff across Community Corrections and Custodial Services, and is accountable for:
- line management and clinical supervision of the Family Violence and General Offending clinical rehabilitation team (FVGO) within the Rehabilitation Programs Branch (RPB);
- planning, developing, scheduling and leading the implementation of a service delivery model that ensures quality delivery of DCS’ Intervention Programs that meets the needs of the Parole Board, Courts and offenders and is in line with the Domestic and Family Violence Intervention Program, the Aboriginal Men’s Family Violence Program, and the Making Changes Program;
- establishing professional leadership and clinical supervision systems to ensure the provision of best practice group interventions for all staff across the department who are delivering the Domestic and Family Violence Intervention Program, the Aboriginal Men’s Family Violence Program, the Making Changes, and any other identified Core Programs introduced by DCS that fall within the remit of the FVGO;
- ensuring the development of standards, quality assurance framework and evaluation systems for the Intervention Programs and other offender rehabilitation initiatives in cooperation with the Offender Development Directorate;
- ensuring the development and implementation of culturally-appropriate practice standards to support he deliver of the Aboriginal Men’s Family Violence Program;
- providing high level advice to Regional Directors, Manager Rehabilitation Programs Branch, Director Offender Rehabilitation Services and other Senior Management as required;
- ensuring that program delivery targets are met across the FVGO remit;
- facilitating program delivery as required; and
- maintaining accountable and integrated practice through liaison with victims groups and the evaluation of programs to offenders.
**Special Conditions**
- Section 47 of the Public Sector Act 2009 applies in conjunction with other provisions of the act and other applicable industrial entitlements.
- The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a National Criminal History Check;
- A current South Australian Driver’s Licence is essential;
- A flexible approach to working hours is required;
- Some interstate and intrastate travel will be required which may necessitate overnight absences.

- A degree level qualification in Social Work leading to eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, OR
- Current and full registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia

- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in community services, sociology, criminology, justice, correctional practice, social sciences, human services, health or related field, AND
**Remuneration**
