We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Analyst join the team in the newly created role.

You will take an active role in the development and transformation of the David Jones Supply Chain organisation by understanding David Jones end to end supply chain operations, be hands on in strategic problem solving and be able to build strategic data models that represent different pathways for the current supply chain to migrate to a new configuration / capability that supports the business growth ambitions

You will:

- Develop robust but flexible supply chain strategy models using MS Excel and Big Data Platform
- Drive operational efficiency and support business growth through the delivery and optimisation of solutions that automate and improve Supply Chain and Operations (SCM) processes.
- Develop business case, infrastructure design and transport design inputs that encompasses the requirements for change, benefits realised, and investment required.
- Define end to end operational business processes, conduct gap analysis, identify risks and partner with stakeholders to deliver business solutions and risk analysis.
- Analyse and document recommendations based on business requirements for new and existing operational initiatives.
- Analyse workflow to create process maps and isolate areas of potential improvement.

With a hybrid mix of time at home as well as in the office, this role will suit an ambitious Supply Chain professional who has strong attention to detail and enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment and can think strategically
- Strong analytical and conceptual capabilities
- High commercial/financial acumen
- Business case development experience
- Good knowledge of end to end Supply Chain (transport, distribution, inventory and international shipping)
- Effective time management, report writing and documentation capability
- Experience in collaborating with others and working in a team to achieve outcomes
- Ability to express ideas and solutions
- Knowledge of business process re-engineering.
