**Role description**:
UST is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Denodo Data Virtualization Expert to join our growing data management team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining data virtualization solutions using the Denodo platform. You will work closely with data architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver integrated and accessible data assets that drive business insights and decision-making.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and implement data virtualization solutions using the Denodo platform, adhering to best practices and architectural standards.
- Develop and maintain virtual data models, views, and APIs to provide access to disparate data sources.
- Optimise Denodo performance through query optimisation, caching strategies, and resource management.
- Collaborate with data architects and data engineers to integrate Denodo with existing data infrastructure and data pipelines.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data virtualization solutions.
- Implement data security and governance policies within the Denodo environment.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Denodo performance and availability issues.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members on Denodo best practices.
- Stay up to date with the latest Denodo features and capabilities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to Denodo implementations.

**R**equired Skills and Experience**
- 7+ years of experience in data integration and data management.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Denodo platform, including design, development, and administration.
- Strong understanding of data virtualization concepts and principles.
- Proficiency in SQL and data modeling techniques.
- Experience with various data sources, including relational databases, cloud data warehouses, and NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of data security and governance best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

**Desired Skills and Experience**
- Denodo certification.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with data catalog and data governance tools.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
