**About the Opportunity**

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the **Neonatology** **Unit** as **Medical Consultant (MD2), **where you will be responsible for:

- Provision of high standard clinical services to patients using evidence-based practice.
- Leading the unit and participating in quality management, quality assurance and risk management activities and ongoing improvement of services.
- Contribute to and facilitate continuing education programmes including undergraduate teaching of medical and nursing students.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

- Experience in all levels of Neonatal Care in a large tertiary hospital setting.
- Well-developed interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to work with individuals and families for positive health outcomes and to foster productive working relationships both internally and externally.
- Experience in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Demonstrated ability to develop good working relationships with families and other staff which demonstrate courtesy, respect, consideration, empathy, honesty and openness.
- High level clinical expertise in neonatal intensive care, consistent with Level 6 of the SA Heath Standards for Maternal and Neonatal Services in South Australia 2010.
