**Position Overview**

**Your new opportunity at Nine**

The Performance, Planning and Insights team is responsible for driving Nine’s profitability and efficiency by overseeing Nine’s budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis processes. It oversees the provision of decision support capability and contributes to the development of medium and long - term financial plans. The team is also responsible for finance business partnering with different functions across Nine

You will act as finance business partner to the Legal & Property department to help leaders meet the objectives of their department. You will be responsible for accounting, forecasting and budgeting relating to these departments as well as working closely with leaders to provide analysis and insight.

You will play an important role in the successful implementation and execution of Nine’s Finance Modernisation project. You will have the opportunity to improve and influence processes and business support in the future.

**Day to day you will**:

- Partner with the Legal and Property leadership team in providing them financial support to manage spend to achieve annual budget and financial KPIs
- Provide accounting support to the Legal & Property department including monthly accounting, forecasting and annual budgeting
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, analysis, financial statement commentary to assist with preparation of consolidated statutory accounts for the Group
- Ensure financials are well understood and provide advice and insights to support growth
- Build strong relationships between finance and wider business

**Qualifications**:
You will have strong analytical skills, with demonstrable ability to interpret trends and provide insights to stakeholders. You will have strong business acumen and the ability to communicate complex financial information to stakeholders and ensure it is well understood. You will have solid business acumen with ability to build strong business relationships

You will be a team player with the ability to build effective business relationships. You will have strong problem solving skills, solid numerical skills and excellent Microsoft Excel. You will thrive in a busy environment and have the ability to meet competing deadlines.

**What we would like to see on your resume**:

- Previous experience as a finance analyst within a large complex organisation
- Solid experience preparing monthly financial statements, balance sheets and commentary
- Extensive experience in financial modelling
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting / finance /business
- CA/ CFA/CPA qualified highly desired
