Opal is a major supplier of high volume custom printed folding cartons to brands across Australia and New Zealand, collaborating with our customers to develop unique, innovative folding carton packaging. We have an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest packaging companies in Australia as our Banksmeadow site is looking for a Demand Planner to come onboard

The key focus of this role will be to:

- Deliver **demand planning leadership** for the business, establish and lead S&OP cadence and best practice process to ensure well informed decision making
- Manage **demand** **forecasting,** provide analysis and root causes to drive customer collaboration to improve demand forecast accuracy
- Lead the implementation of **statistical forecasting** models to generate accurate demand forecasts
- Conduct **data analytics and reporting**by using Power BI to dashboard to manage forecast trends, new product development, promotional demand plans and product life cycle
- Use demand plan to formulate **inventory optimisation** strategy to reduce SLOB risks and improve inventory turnover rates
- **Manage business risks** resulting from demand trend and gain consensus on critical path elements for risk mitigation plans across the value chain

Excel | Power BI | SAP IBP | SAP S/4HANA | Quantrix | Voyager Logility
- Min 5 years of demand planning and statistical forecasting experience within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment with a large number of SKUs across multiple production sites
- Experience in leading Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), demand & supply planning KPI dashboard, decision matrix and driving solutions to mitigate risks
- Intermediate to advanced experience with the SAP - APO system (SAP - Advanced Planning and Optimisation) for demand planning purposes
- Ability to perform financial modelling, scenario modelling and strong analytical and technical skills with an ability to work with complex data sets
- Familiar with inventory management, capacity planning and related interfaces with demand planning across the supply chain
- Experience in building and maintaining internal and external relationships with stakeholders, to identify and forecast industry trends
- Excellent communication skills; written, verbal and listening (the ability to clearly explain and communicate complex data and trends)
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (experience in tools/ functions such as: Power BI & queries, v and x lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
