**What you’ll love**:
Core to what we do is a strong operations management. As the Operations Manager you’ll play a vital role by leading your team, whilst implementing processes and systems across the operations to ensure efficiency, as well as regulatory and quality compliance.
**Key Responsibilities include**:
- Leading the team and treatment plant and ensuring that shifts are covered during operational hours
- Ensuring operations are conducted in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible
- Effective communication with customers, sub-contractors and site visitors
- Supporting maintenance requirements of the plant, including ordering of provisions
- Managing the collection of operational data
- Personnel responsibilities such as leave management and HR liaison
- Training and development of the team
- Workplace inspections at site, toolbox talks, hazard alerts etc
- Ensuring that all WH&S, fatigue management, organisational policies, procedures and local laws are understood and complied with by both internal staff and subcontractors
**Who you are**:
You will bring the following to this role:
- Prior Leadership experience (essential)
- Prior experience in an operational role
- Experience in industrial water treatment, potable water treatment, liquid waste treatment, waste management or relevant experience in a similar industry
- Excellent planning and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Sound decision making and conflict resolution skills
- Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously whilst also driving your team forward
- Good computer skills, Word, Excel and Outlook
- A tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Environment or Mechanical (desirable but not essential)
- A background in operations of waste and recycling (desirable but not essential)
